FOREST TERRARIUMS

 

From the mosses and lichen blanketing the sandy soil of Door County dune woodlands to the ferns and epiphytes clinging to trees in the tropics, the range of forest plant life is vast.

 

The Forest terrariums are created with moisture in mind, ideal for northern-facing windows with indirect light. They love humidity, so either keep them lidded and they’ll water themselves or for open containers, give them a nice misty spray when they look thirsty. For lidded terrariums, a nice amount of condensation is ideal, but if large water droplets are taking over every inch of glass, crack the lid to let some moisture escape and you’ll avoid any nasty mold issues.
