Predicting the buzzing crowds and interaction between outdoor diners and passersby, a design was implemented that lowered the planters to diners height while creating a six-inch drink rest above for those waiting or socializing outside the perimeter. Structural joints were hollowed to allow for accent plants, keeping in a cool color scheme of yellow, apricot and dusty sage. The patio partitions/planters were complemented by two 10-seat communal tables and four picnic-style benches, all weatherproofed and stained ebony to blend into the facade, allowing the plants to remain the primary focus.
